A (very, very long-winded) Introduction:
Jun. 12th, 2009 03:27 amHello! I'm being enormously presumptive assuming that anyone is reading this, especially enough people to warrant a ridiculously long introductory post, but I feel it's best to get a few things out front from the get-go.
I'm sure most people who read this blog, at least at first, will know me as lizzypaul over at Livejournal. While Eppy’s Space has always been a hodgepodge of many different genres, from fandom squee to fanfic to religion to feminism to gay rights, here at Shiphrah’s Heart, my intention is to stay focused on religion, politics, and my life (and, sadly, right now my life is so one-dimensional that it often involves either religion or politics, or both). In the next while--I'm not giving a timeline, because my life is far too unpredictable right now for that --I will be transferring (or linking to) relevant posts that I like over at lizzypaul.
I will continue to keep lizzypaul open, primarily for fanfiction/fandom purposes. I will probably not do a lot of cross-posting, though if I’m particularly proud of something (there’s that ego, again), I might link. I don’t know. We’ll see how this all plays out, but I’m anxious to give “intentional” blogging a try. I very much want to develop my writing skills, as well as do whatever tiny bit I can do to help others, if indeed a blog can.
Again, I’m pretty sure that most people reading this will be familiar with my LJ, and therefore probably have heard most of the following before (so hey, feel free to skip), but for those of you who don’t know me, I’m going to give a bit of personal background information, my basic theology and spiritual journey (as that will be a major focus of this blog, as well as being just a huge part of who I am), and some ground rules for the discussion I hope entries I post generate.

So there you have it, me in a nutshell. If I haven't scared you off, I hope that you will both enjoy reading this journal, and participate in discussion. I know that I don't know everything, or even all that much, and that I can get off track or be too close to see objectively. I welcome disagreement, and hope to have many interesting conversations here, much like I've had over on LJ. I also hope that I will continue the great friendships I've made over the course of my years blogging, and that I will have the opportunity to form new relationships.

Wow, the length of this post and the assumptions that I'm going to have any readers, much less enough that I need this much introduction and even rules, makes me look like an egotistical ass. Oh, well.
